EVENT CALENDAR

At Bar T Horsemanship, we’re not content to just improve your horse– We want to leave our  brand on you as well. We believe that if a horseman isn’t continually improving, he’ll get as stagnant as that murky puddle his horse is afraid to cross. In our robust clinic lineup we’ll keep the knowledge flowing, the horses moving, and the relationships growing.

Art of the Round-Pen

April 29, 9 – 5

Bar T Horsemanship

$125

Have you ever wondered what the round-pen is really for? Is it to tire our horses out, or is it a classroom where we can work on our fundamental through advanced maneuvers? We use the round-pen as a classroom for all levels of horses because it’s a useful communication tool. Master the art of the round-pen in this clinic, whether you’re working with a barely halter-broken colt or a finished jumper— you’ll learn how to use the round pen as a tool to improve your confidence, seat and skills.

Obstacle Domination Clinic

Or, do you have the urge to run your horse through an obstacle course at full speed? Well, before you can run you have to walk! By tackling individual horsemanship exercises, then pairing those exercises with obstacles, this innovative clinic provides confidence to both the horse and rider. We’ll also work on more advanced obstacle and object interactions such as carrying flags, throwing ropes, dragging logs, etc. We’ll work through issues from the ground, then the saddle, to prepare you and your horse for anything!

Horsemanship with Obstacles

July 2-5

If you want your horse’s trust, you have to earn it. Before you start throwing your horse into uncomfortable situations, you and your horse need to be of the same mindset. You need clear communication, understanding and confidence in each other.

In this clinic, we’ll not only solidify your foundation, but we’ll take you and your hose to the next level to help you find seamless communication with your horse. At that point, we’ll incorporate obstacles. When you ask your horse to tackle a task he isn’t comfortable with– it’s then you’ll know if your horse is your partner through thick and thin! about refining your feel and adding precision to your horse’s movements. In this clinic we’ll touch on the basics covered in Horsemanship I & II, but the real focus of this clinic is adding that little extra finesse to our groundwork and riding. Come ride with us– we’ll take you to the next level. In doing so you’ll develop buttons you didn’t know you had!
